The auto transport industry has a credibility problem. The largest operators run as lead-generation businesses — capturing your contact information through low-ball quotes, reselling it to multiple brokers, then leaving you to navigate which one actually delivers. By the time your vehicle is on a trailer, you've been called by five companies you didn't ask to hear from.

Citadel exists for the buyer who'd rather pay a fair price once and work with one company that owns the outcome. We focus exclusively on enclosed transport — the segment of the market where vehicle value justifies specialized handling, and where the reputation of the operator actually matters. We picked enclosed because doing it well is hard, and doing it well is what protects the kinds of cars our customers care about.

What we do differently

One quote, no resale. Your information stays with us. We don't share it with carrier networks, lead aggregators, or partner brokers. The quote you get is from us, and we honor it.

Vetted carrier network. Every carrier we dispatch carries minimum $250K cargo coverage, has cleared a multi-point qualification process, and runs equipment we've inspected. We don't accept open Central Dispatch listings.

Single point of contact. One specialist owns your shipment. You have their direct number from quote through delivery. No call-center queue, no routing through dispatch.

Transparent pricing. Our published rate bands match what we actually charge. Quotes are firm at booking. The only adjustments come if your vehicle differs materially from what was disclosed — and we flag that before pickup, never after.

Who we ship for

Private collectors, exotic-car owners, dealerships, restoration shops, auction houses, concours organizers, and high-net-worth individuals making seasonal or relocation moves. Common vehicle profile: $100K+ value, low ground clearance, hand-finished or numbers-matching original, one-of-a-kind, or otherwise irreplaceable.

Our team

Citadel's leadership includes 60+ years of combined experience in collector-vehicle logistics, auction transport, and enclosed-carrier operations. Our specialists average 8+ years in the field — most came up through carrier-side dispatch, restoration shops, or auction-house logistics teams. Everyone who quotes a Citadel shipment has been on a trailer.

Insurance and licensing

Citadel operates as a licensed broker (USDOT 0000000, MC 000000). Every carrier we dispatch is independently licensed and insured. Standard cargo coverage starts at $250K; we arrange supplemental coverage to declared value for high-end shipments. Our insurance partners include collector-vehicle specialists Hagerty, Grundy, and Chubb for vehicles where standard coverage is inadequate.

We carry contingent cargo liability and broker errors-and-omissions coverage as primary backstops. Coverage details are available on request before booking.

Service area

Citadel covers the continental United States, with high-frequency lanes between every major metro and concentrated capacity around collector-vehicle hubs (Los Angeles, Miami, New York, Phoenix-Scottsdale, Indianapolis, Pebble Beach). International transport is available through partner freight forwarders for export to UK, EU, Middle East, and Asia.
