What's different about EV transport
Heavier than ICE equivalents
EVs typically weigh 10–25% more than comparable gas vehicles. Tesla Model S Plaid: 4,830 lb. Rivian R1T: 7,150 lb. Hummer EV: 9,000+ lb. We verify carrier weight ratings before dispatch.
Battery state matters
50–60% charge is the sweet spot. Full charge stresses the battery thermally during transit; discharge below 30% can leave electronics unavailable for inspection. We confirm charge state at pickup.
Manufacturer transport modes
Tesla, Rivian, Lucid, and Polestar each have transport-mode protocols (Tow Mode for Tesla, similar for others). Our drivers are trained on the major-brand procedures.
